These Terms and Conditions apply to the rental of vehicles from MAKINA NYC. By completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.
To rent a vehicle from MAKINA NYC, you must be at least 25 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and provide a valid credit card. Additional requirements may apply based on location and vehicle type.
Upon booking a vehicle, a rental agreement will be issued outlining the rental period, vehicle details, and payment terms. This agreement must be signed by the renter before taking possession of the vehicle.
Full payment is required at the time of booking or upon vehicle pickup, depending on the rental agreement. Accepted forms of payment include credit/debit cards and other approved payment methods.
The rented vehicle must only be used for lawful purposes. The renter is responsible for the vehicle’s condition and must return it in the same condition as when rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
We offer insurance options to protect the renter against accidents or damage. If the renter declines insurance, they assume full responsibility for any damages, loss, or theft of the vehicle.
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel. The renter must return the vehicle with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for refueling.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled rental time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours are subject to a cancellation fee.
Vehicles must be returned on the agreed date and time. Late returns will incur additional charges at a daily rate specified in the rental agreement.
The renter is responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle, including accidents, theft, or vandalism. In the case of an accident or breakdown, the renter must notify MAKINA NYC immediately.
The rented vehicle must not be used for the following:
Off-road driving
Participating in any form of racing or speed contest
Towing or carrying other vehicles or heavy loads
Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair driving ability
MAKINA NYC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the vehicle, including any injuries, accidents, or property damage.
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your information only for purposes related to your rental transaction and service improvement.
MAKINA NYC reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective once posted on our website.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws. Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction.
